1. Write a narrative starting with the words "It was a dark and stormy night...."

It was a dark stormy night and i was at a horse show. Well let me start from the beging my mom and dad woke me up at 6:00 and of course I jumped out of bed because I was excited. Once I got out of bed i got dressed and brushed my teeth and did my hair and make up. Next we went to the barn and got my horse and we drove to the horse show. Once we got there my I got my horse ready to ride then my dad held him while i got changed into my riding out fit. Once i got dressed i got on my horse and practiced then i cam back and finished geting ready and went up to the show ring and watched and the i went in and showed all day long it was gourges then twards the end of the show it started to sprinkel and of course my horse Ty started to be bad because he hates flies and he thinks the rain is little flies on him. then later on it started to poor then Ty was really bad. So of coarse my mom and dad said lets go home so i was really up set because i was so close to have high point. high point means i have the most points and i would of got a big trophy. So when we got back to the barn it started to thunder and lightning so we unloaded ty and we went home. when we got home and i was helping my dad unhook the trailer my brother who does not like the horse and stays home came out of the house and said that the power was out. So me and my dad had to tack flash lights out to the barn to feed our goats. when we got in i had to tack candles up stairs and get a shower then it was really hard to cook dinner but we maneged to do it. That was are dark stormy night.
